Champion Juicers

Champion Juicers are produced by Plastaket Manufacturing Co. An American, family owned company, founded in 1955. Unlike many juicers, that work by cutting blades, the Champion works by literally 'chewing' the fruit or vegetables.

The process produces juice with more fibre and vitamins, giving it a more fuller flavour and richer colour. The modern models have a sensor which stops the juicer functioning if the parts are not properly reassembled after washing, a great safety feature. Although the appliances are not dishwasher safe, the parts can be soaked in soapy water and bleached if they become stained. Customers have the option to choose between a large or small hole filter, their choice depending on their own personal preference. They have a simple, traditional and practical design, and are available in a selection of colours: Almond, black, silver and white. The company produces both domestic and commercial use models, primarily for the American and Canadian market.

G5-NG-853-S

For American and Canadian domestic use. Recently improved, with a 1/3 horsepower electric motor, stainless steel shaft, and both front and rear end shields. The new model runs smoother and stays cooler than the previous versions. This model is only available in the United States and Canada. Retails at around $250

G5-PG710

This model is for commercial use. Using more heavy duty parts than the G5-NG-853-S, built to meet the demands of trade use. Like the domestic model it has a 1/3 horsepower electric motor and stainless steel motor shaft. Heavy duty parts which combine smooth running with maximum rotation. Heightened winding ability speeds up the starting torque yet keeps the motor cooler, even with heavy use. Manufacturer with a stainless steel shaft for durability. Produced for the American market, wired for 110 volt. Although it is possible to convert this model for 220volt, overseas use. Only slightly more expensive than their domestic model, retailing for around $270.

G5-PG710-PN

This commercial model is specifically built for the Canadian, Australian and New Zealand market. It is also available for shipment throughout Asia. Like the G5-NG-853-S domestic model, it has a 1/3 horsepower electric motor and stainless steel motor shaft, but has been adapted for 240 volt 50 Hertz. The only difference between the two models, is internal wiring. The machine can produce maximum torque at maximum capacity. Modern front and rear end shields and a 'Thermal Overload' protection. Smooth running mechanism which stays cooler, even under heavy use. Retailing at around $270, the same as the G5-PG710.

Champion Juicers do produce another domestic model which can be supplied for use overseas. The MAR-220 has the same 1/3 horsepower electric motor and durable stainless steel shaft. Manufactured to CE requirements, with 220 volt 50/60 Hertz.
